Job Description
ManufacturingcompanythatmakesfabricatedsteelproductsneedsCertifiedWeldingInspectors,alsocalledCWI.Thisisacompletelyonsiteposition.Thecompanyprovideswonderfulbenefits.Youwouldworkafour-dayworkweek,10hoursaday.Dayandnightpositionsareavailable.$35-40perhour.
ThisisanonsitepositioninyourchoiceofworkinginWesternTennesseeortheFlorence,SCarea.Iamadvertisingtofindpeoplewhomightrelocate.Relocationassistanceisavailable.
- Youwillberesponsibleforonsitetestingandinspectionoffabricatedsteelassembliesdesignedtosupportheavyloads.
- Readandinterpretfabricationdrawings.
- ConstantfloorinspectionanddocumentationofallmanufacturingprocessesincludingCutting,punching,shearingstamping,notching,weldingandpaint.
- TheweldingprocessisaGMAWSprayTransferprocess.
- Allnecessarytestingandpersonalprotectionequipmentwillbeprovidedbythecompany
- Maintaindailyinspectionrecords
- Shouldbeexperiencedininspectionandtestofstructuresandwelds.
- ExperiencewithMagneticParticle,DyePenetrant,Visual,andUltrasonicinspection(NDI)preferred.
- Must have at least three years of experience as a CWI. Make sure you resume shows your registration number
Qualifications
- AWSCWICertification.CertifiedWeldingInspectorwithatleastthreeyears’experience.Thisisapositioninmanufacturing,butwillconsiderpeoplewithconstruction,civilengineering,defense,marine,oraerospaceexperience.
- Mustbeabletoidentifycomponentshavingcracks,corrosion,faultywelds,orotherdefectsthatwouldaffectstructuralintegrity.
- Mustbeabletoreadandunderstandengineeringdrawingsorblueprints.ProficiencywithMSOfficesoftwareandtheabilitytoproducereportsindesiredformatsisamust.
Thisjobpays$35-40anhour.
