HVAC FOREMAN - RESIDENTIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC FOREMANFOR NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

As a HVAC Foreman, you provide oversight and direction for the field personnel. You ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work. Applying your industry knowledge, you are able to evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction. You assist with complex project installation challenges. As the liaison to offsite management, you report to and make recommendations to the project manager based on your observations.

Passionate about quality and safety, you confirm that proper procedures are being followed by all staff. You direct the subcontractors and field personnel, providing informal job site training and guidance in the HVAC methods that you are knowledgeable about. Under your excellent leadership, the field personnel are inspired to take great pride in their work. And, you get great satisfaction out of helping to ensure each project’s profitability while meeting deadlines for completion!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HVAC FOREMANFOR NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

  • Requirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience, with a focus on new home construction.
    • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Responsibilities:

    • Plan, lay out, coordinate, and supervise HVAC installation activities for new home construction projects.
    • Assign and oversee the work of HVAC personnel and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
    • Ensure all required HVAC equipment, materials, tools, and supplies are available on-site and ready for installation.
    • Manage and coordinate labor, including Sobieski employees and subcontractors, to maintain productivity and meet project schedules.
    • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and upon completion to ensure installations meet company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
    • Participate in complex HVAC installation tasks and provide hands-on support and technical guidance to the team when needed.
    • Coordinate with builders, superintendents, inspectors, and other project officials regarding HVAC installations, project requirements, and potential issues.
    • Establish and maintain safety, quality, and work-performance standards for employees and subcontractors.
    • Monitor job progress and address issues or delays promptly to keep projects on schedule.
    • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable safety regulations (OSHA), building codes, and company policies.

FOREMAN WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Foreman position typically works Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime can be expected during peak periods.
