Job Title: Flexo Press Operator – Narrow Web Labels

A well-established printing and packaging manufacturer in the Mukilteo, Washington area is looking for an experienced Flexo Press Operator to join its production team. This is a confidential search for someone with hands-on narrow-web flexographic printing experience who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain consistent print quality throughout a production run.

Candidates with experience running Mark Andy or similar narrow-web flexographic equipment in pressure-sensitive labels, food and beverage labels, or related applications are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Set up and operate narrow-web flexographic printing presses for label and packaging production

• Complete press setups, job changeovers, plate changes, anilox changes, and material changes

• Set impression, registration, web tension, and other press controls to meet job specifications

• Monitor color, registration, print quality, and overall production standards throughout each run

• Perform color checks and make adjustments at the press as needed

• Work with pressure-sensitive label stocks and other applicable substrates

• Read and follow job tickets, production specifications, and customer requirements

• Troubleshoot print defects, registration issues, ink problems, web handling issues, and other press-related problems

• Perform routine quality inspections and document production information accurately

• Minimize setup time, waste, and downtime while maintaining quality expectations

• Communicate material, ink, tooling, or equipment issues to the appropriate team members

• Perform basic press maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized

• Follow plant safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and established production practices

• Work closely with quality, prepress, maintenance, and production leadership to keep jobs moving efficiently

• Previous experience operating a narrow-web flexographic printing press

• Hands-on experience independently setting up and running production jobs

• Strong understanding of flexographic print quality, registration, impression, and color

• Experience troubleshooting common flexographic printing and web-handling problems

• Ability to perform press changeovers and adjustments without constant supervision

• Experience working in a production-focused printing or packaging environment

• Ability to read job specifications and maintain accurate production documentation

• Strong attention to quality, safety, and waste reduction

• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team

• 3+ years of narrow-web flexographic printing experience

• Pressure-sensitive label printing experience

• Food and beverage label or packaging experience

• Experience with multi-color process and spot-color work

• Familiarity with water-based and/or UV ink systems [Confirm]

• Experience working in a quality-driven label manufacturing environment

Experience with one or more of the following is especially relevant:

• Mark Andy narrow-web flexographic presses

• Mark Andy 2200 or comparable equipment

• Multi-color narrow-web flexographic presses

• Pressure-sensitive label converting equipment

• Ink mixing and color matching

• Anilox selection and handling

• Plate mounting and press setup

• Registration and impression control

• Web tension and material handling

• Die cutting and inline finishing/converting [Confirm]

• Color measurement equipment and established color standards [Confirm]

Candidates do not necessarily need experience on the company's exact press configuration if they have strong narrow-web flexographic fundamentals and can transition successfully to similar equipment.
