Fabrication Technician

Pay Rate: $16.84/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overtime Required as Needed

PDS Tech is seeking motivated and mechanically inclined individuals to join a leading manufacturing team as a Fabrication Technician. This role is ideal for candidates with fabrication, metalworking, machine operation, or welding experience who enjoy working with their hands and building high-quality products.

• Dimensionally lay out and fabricate baseplates, brackets, structures, and copper bus components.
• Perform punching, drilling, tapping, cutting, and other fabrication processes as required.
• Operate fabrication equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
• Follow detailed fabrication instructions, work orders, and manufacturing procedures.
• Assist welders and support fabrication operations as needed.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Follow all Company Quality System policies and documented procedures.
• Maintain production schedules and delivery requirements for shop and customer orders.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience cutting and fabricating metal, particularly aluminum

Experience operating fabrication machinery and shop equipment

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

Prior welding experience preferred

Experience with punch press equipment is a plus

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

Willingness to learn and develop new skills

The ideal candidate will have hands-on fabrication experience and understand manufacturing processes. Candidates who can support welding operations, operate fabrication equipment, and interpret blueprints will stand out.
