The Engineering Design Technician will, with guidance, provide technical leadership to project teams working on the planning, evaluation, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will, under leadership, lead the study and/or design phases of projects related to the civil, environmental, construction, and industrial fields. The Engineering Design Technician will rarely interact with clients, the public (agencies, government entities, etc.), or participate in business development activities.
This position is expected to project a professional presence, represent the Company and department positively, and possess beginner-level knowledge of at least one engineering software package. A Professional Engineering (PE) license is not required; however, a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
