Production Operator

Abililty to read, understand and follow instructions on method sheets for each part.

Ability to set up of Shell and/or Warm Box core machine: Install and align core box & blow plate, set timers, temperatures, pressures, and type of sand per method sheet.

Verify Shell and/or Warm Box core box temperatures, clean core box and apply release spray as specified and then cycle the machine.

Set up of Laempe core machine: Install core box and align, install blow plate and gassing plate, enter part # into the computer. Verify the sand type needed and set resin level.

Remove parting fins, etc and inspect core. Weigh cores at proper frequency. (Shell only)

If required, assemble and mud core.

Place on felt covered rack, in a box or on pallet according to method sheet. If required, insert foam between cores.

Stretch wrap cores.

Perform all duties at an acceptable rate.

Produce quality parts according to customer requirements.

Accurately complete production sheets.

Job requires continuous standing for 8-10 hours, occasional lifting of over 50 lbs, and frequent lifting of up to 35 lbs. Job requires bending, twisting, turning, squatting, reaching, pulling, pushing and hammering.

Job requires utilization of Personal Protective Equipment. (P.P.E.) Ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toed shoes are required at all times on the shop floor.

Maintain assigned work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
