Job Summary
We are seeking Respiratory Therapists to join the team in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients in non-critical and critical care settings. This position assesses patient needs, delivers appropriate respiratory interventions, monitors patient response, documents care, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient outcomes.
-> Responsibilities
- Assess patients and provide appropriate respiratory care interventions.
- Administer respiratory medications through nebulizers and metered-dose inhalers.
- Provide aerosol, humidity, medical gas, incentive spirometry, PEP, and chest physiotherapy treatments.
- Perform pulse oximetry and respiratory mechanics assessments.
- Provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor ventilator settings, patient parameters, and response to treatment.
- Perform and assist with intubation, extubation, suctioning, and bronchoscopy procedures.
- Respond promptly to Code Blue and RIT/CRIT calls.
- Assist with patient transportation when required.
- Verify physician orders and accurately document patient care in the medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain professional judgment when responding to changing patient and department needs.
- Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and activities designed to improve patient outcomes.
- Assist with mentoring and training new personnel.
- Attend required in-services and maintain department education requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
-> Qualifications:
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
-> Required Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Oklahoma Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License or temporary authorization/letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board.
- Current CRT or RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- BLS certification required within 2 months of hire.
-> Experience
- 0–6 months of related experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year of ICU experience in either Adult ICU or PICU is required for applicable clinical ladder opportunities.
-> Compensation:
- Base pay: $29.89/hour
- Maximum listed pay: $44.84/hour
- RRT differential: RRT credential earns an additional $1.00/hour
- Night-shift sign-on bonus: $15,000 with a 2-year employment commitment
- Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for qualified candidates
- Additional clinical ladder pay opportunities may be available based on qualifying ACLS, PALS, NRP, and applicable experience.
Schedule
Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:50 AM
Two night-shift positions are currently available at the Yale Campus. Qualified candidates interested in day shift may also be considered depending on department needs.
