Entry Shop Helper $22 5AM

Position Summary

We are seeking two dependable Shop Helpers to support daily operations in a busy metal fabrication and manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position that involves assisting throughout the shop, cleaning and preparing parts, moving materials, and supporting production employees as needed.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable performing physical work, and willing to assist with a variety of shop duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general duties throughout the manufacturing shop
• Wash and clean manufactured parts and components
• Deburr parts and remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material
• Move materials, finished parts, and work-in-process throughout the facility
• Organize materials and maintain designated work areas
• Load and unload materials as needed
• Assist production and fabrication employees with general shop tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and instructions
• Perform additional shop duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, metal fabrication, or shop experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required

Preferred Skills

• Previous deburring or metal fabrication experience
• Experience washing or cleaning manufactured parts
• Material handling experience
• Forklift operation experience
• Familiarity with a manufacturing or machine shop environment

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a manufacturing and metal fabrication shop and may involve exposure to machinery, metal materials, noise, dust, and other typical industrial conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
