Job Title: Flexographic Press Operator – Narrow Web Labels
Location: Addison, Texas
Schedule: 1st Shift | One-Shift Operation | Exact hours [Confirm]
Compensation: Approximately $30–$37/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated press skills
A well-established label printing operation in the Addison, Texas area is looking to hire 1–2 experienced Flexographic Press Operators for its first-shift production team.
This position is best suited for a true all-around narrow-web press operator who understands the complete flexographic printing processnot just running repeat jobs once a press has already been set up. You should be comfortable taking a job from setup through production, including mounting plates, working with inks and color, setting dies, making press adjustments, troubleshooting problems, maintaining print quality, and changing over between different types of work.
The company will also consider a less-experienced operator who has strong mechanical aptitude, a good eye for color, and the ability and willingness to learn the complete process.
What You’ll DoSet up and operate narrow-web flexographic presses for pressure-sensitive label and related work
Handle jobs from setup through finished production
Mount plates and prepare the press for production
Mix, adjust, and manage inks to achieve required color
Set dies and make necessary tooling adjustments
Perform complete press setups and changeovers
Adjust registration, impression, color, tension, and other press variables
Read job specifications and set equipment accordingly
Run a variety of jobs rather than only repetitive, standardized work
Monitor color, registration, print quality, die-cutting, and overall finished-product quality throughout each run
Troubleshoot mechanical, print-quality, ink, registration, and setup issues
Make adjustments independently to keep jobs running efficiently
Minimize waste and maintain production standards
Perform routine operator-level press maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Follow plant safety procedures and good housekeeping practices
Work with production and management to resolve quality or equipment issues
Cross-train on additional printing equipment as needed
Hands-on experience operating narrow-web flexographic printing equipment strongly preferred
Ability to perform complete press setups and changeovers
Experience mounting plates, working with inks, setting dies, and establishing registration
Strong understanding of color and print-quality standards
Ability to troubleshoot problems rather than relying on a separate setup or technical department
Mechanical aptitude and comfort making press adjustments
Ability to adapt between different job specifications, materials, colors, tooling, and production requirements
Strong attention to detail and quality
Dependable work habits and willingness to work as part of a small production team
Commitment to safe operating practices and maintaining a clean work environment
Years of experience are less important than depth of experience. Candidates who have spent their careers running only one repetitive type of job may not be the right fit. The company is looking for operators who understand what is happening throughout the press and can adjust when the job changes or a problem occurs.

Experience with older, mechanically driven or gear-driven flexographic presses
Background working in an environment where press operators are responsible for their own setups
Experience producing a variety of label constructions and job types
Strong color-matching and ink-adjustment skills
Experience troubleshooting registration, impression, die-cutting, ink, and print-quality problems
Experience on Mark Andy, Nilpeter, or comparable narrow-web equipment
Digital label printing experience is helpful but not required
Candidates with less direct flexographic experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong mechanical ability, color aptitude, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.
Equipment / Technical ExperienceThe facility operates a mix of narrow-web flexographic and digital printing equipment.
Experience with any of the following is valuable:
Nilpeter FA-series narrow-web presses
Mark Andy narrow-web flexographic presses
Older gear-driven flexographic equipment

Plate mounting and print-cylinder setup
Flexographic inks and color matching
Rotary dies and die-cutting setup
Registration and impression adjustments

Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate
This is a strong opportunity for a press operator who enjoys being responsible for the entire printing process. Instead of simply loading a repeat job and monitoring the press, you'll use your setup, color, mechanical, troubleshooting, and printing knowledge every day.
The operation uses a variety of flexographic equipment and job types, making this a good fit for an operator who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in knowing how to get a press set up correctly and producing quality work.
For candidates considering relocation, assistance may be available depending on experience and fit.
Next StepQualified candidates will begin with a confidential phone conversation about their press experience and the opportunity.
Candidates who move forward should expect additional discussion followed by an onsite visit. Finalists may complete a hands-on press evaluation using equipment relevant to their experience. The purpose is straightforward: demonstrate your setup and operating skills while also giving you the opportunity to see the facility, equipment, and working environment firsthand.
Interested? Apply with your resume or a brief description of the presses you've operated, the types of label work you've produced, and the setups you're comfortable handling. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.
SHORT INDEED / LINKEDIN VERSIONFlexographic Press Operator – Narrow Web Labels
Addison, TX | 1st Shift | $30–$37/hr DOE
A label printing operation in the Addison, TX area is hiring 1–2 Flexographic Press Operators for first shift.
We're looking for operators who know the complete narrow-web flexo process. This is not a position where another department handles everything before the job reaches your press.
You should be comfortable with:
Complete press setup and changeovers
Mounting plates
Mixing and adjusting inks
Color matching
Setting dies
Registration and impression
Troubleshooting print and mechanical issues
Maintaining print and die-cut quality
Running different job types and adapting between setups
Experience with Mark Andy, Nilpeter, or similar narrow-web flexographic presses is preferred. Experience with older gear-driven equipment is particularly valuable.
The primary equipment is approximately 13"–17" narrow-web flexographic machinery, with potential cross-training on additional flexo and digital equipment.
We're more interested in what you can actually set up and troubleshoot than the number of years on your resume.
Pay: Approximately $30–$37/hour DOE
Shift: 1st shift
Location: Addison, TX
Relocation: Assistance may be considered for the right candidate
The interview process includes phone conversations followed by an onsite visit and hands-on press evaluation for finalists.
Apply confidentially with your resume or details on the presses, materials, and types of work you've run.
SCREENING QUESTIONSWhich narrow-web flexographic presses have you personally set up and operated? Please include manufacturer, model if known, and web width.
Walk me through what you personally handle when setting up a new flexo job. Do you mount plates, mix or adjust inks, set dies, establish registration, and make color adjustments yourself?
What types of label work and substrates have you run? Please describe the range of jobs rather than only your most common product.
Tell me about a difficult print-quality or press problem you diagnosed yourself. What was happening, what adjustments did you make, and what solved it?
How comfortable are you operating older gear-driven presses where the operator is expected to understand and control the entire printing process rather than relying on separate setup departments?

Label Printing Jobs Dallas TX
Search: 1–2 Flexographic Press Operators
Location: Addison, TX
Shift: 1st shift / one-shift operation
Target Compensation: Approximately $30–$37/hr depending on ability
Relocation: Potential assistance for the right candidate
Core profile: Find a genuine A–Z narrow-web label press operator, not simply someone with a long tenure running repeat four-color jobs. Depth and versatility matter more than years of experience.
The ideal candidate has worked in an environment where the operator personally handles plate mounting, inks/color, dies, complete setup, registration, impression, troubleshooting, quality control, and changeovers.
Prioritize candidates from smaller or traditional narrow-web label operations, particularly those experienced with older gear-driven equipment where operators have substantial responsibility for their own setups.
Target equipment background: Nilpeter FA-series, Mark Andy, older gear-driven narrow-web flexo, or comparable equipment. Primary openings involve approximately 13" and 17" equipment.
Strong candidate indicators: Can explain setups in detail; understands why adjustments are made; strong color knowledge; mechanically inclined; has run varied work; troubleshoots independently; comfortable changing between substantially different jobs.
Potential red flag: Candidate has many years of press experience but primarily loads/runs the same repeat work after plates, inks, tooling, and setup have been prepared by other departments.
Trainable profile: Don't automatically eliminate candidates with fewer years. A mechanically strong candidate with a good eye for color, genuine printing knowledge, adaptability, and a strong learning mindset could be considered.
Interview process: Initial phone interview likely second phone conversation onsite facility/equipment review hands-on press test. Company may compensate the candidate for the press test if appropriate.
Benefits, exact first-shift hours, overtime expectations/pay structure, and specific relocation package remain [Confirm].
