Job Title: Senior Cloud Data Engineer – Python + AWS

Location: Plano, TX (100% onsite)

USC/GC/GC EAD Only- W2 Requirement

Note: No third party/C2C or 1099

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have strong AWS, Python, Snowflake, Terraform, and CI/CD experience, along with a solid understanding of cloud data engineering, data lakes, automation, security, and governance.

• Design and develop scalable AWS data pipelines and data lake solutions.
  

• Build data processing workflows using AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  

• Implement data governance, security, and access controls using AWS Lake Formation.
  

• Develop automation and integrations using Python, Boto3, and AWS APIs.
  

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  

• Develop, test, and deploy data pipelines using CI/CD practices.
  

• Work with Snowflake and modern data platforms.
  

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production workloads using CloudWatch and Splunk.
  

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
  

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and agentic workflows.
  

• 6+ years of professional experience in cloud data engineering or a related field.
  

• Hands-on AWS data engineering experience.
  

• Strong experience with:
  

  • AWS Glue
    

  • Amazon S3
    

  • AWS Lambda
    

  • AWS Step Functions
    

  • AWS Lake Formation
    

• Strong Python skills.
  

• Experience with Snowflake.
  

• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
  

• Experience with CI/CD, Git/Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  

• Experience with software testing, release processes, and production deployments.
  

• Strong understanding of data lake architecture and cloud data pipelines.
