Job Description

Job Title: Utility Worker III

Location: Delaware Water Gap, PA 18327

Duration: 06Months(Temp to Hire)

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr. On W2 Without any Benefits

Shift: Must be Flexible to work all shifts:

• 1st Shift: 7am – 3pm

• 2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm

• 3rd Shift: 11pm – 7am

Interview Required “Steel Toe Shoes Are Required”

Pre-shift meetings begin 10mins before each scheduled shift. Employees may clock in up to 15 minutes early only if they are attending the meeting. Otherwise, clocking in is permitted no more than 5 mins before the shift start time. Schedule for the upcoming week is posted every Thursday.

**If selected candidates are late or NCNS, they will be terminated immediately. No exceptions**
Absolutely must be able to be on their feet, labor intensive role, pushing, lifting, bending, etc. This is not just a side job, forklift is sometimes only 10% of the role, this is manual labor.

Must Have:

Heavy Industrial experience

Forklift (only about 10% of job)

Can clear drug test that includes THC

High school degree or GED (Mill Location)

These entry level positions provide labor for various tasks around the mill including picking up paper, operating forklift, cleaning, etc.. Will fill in for vacancies in entry level positions as needed. Must be able to carry/lift 50 lbs. Candidates with previous experience operating forktruck or other mobile equipment are preferred, but that experience is not necessary for consideration. This is a rotating shift position and membership in the Union is required after 90 days.

Essential Job Functions:

Participates in the safety program and works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the plant and OSHA

Maintain general housekeeping around mill, including but not limited to : dumping hoppers/trash, cleaning floors / walls, general cleanliness of mill

Assist with Housekeeping Audit action items as directed by area owner

Assist with general duties in dry end / wet end as required, which may include: use of overhead crane to move rolls, cutting of cores, slabbing rolls and banding slabs to prepare for transport to trailer

Use forklift as required to move broke, supplies, etc.

Keeping supplies stocked in areas throughout Mill

Knowledge and understanding of Mill training system, policies, and processes

Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

Education:

HS Graduate or equivalent.

Required Skills:

Ability to use tools/equipment such as: forklift, simple hand tools, clamp truck, yard tractor, banding machine, utility knife, roll pusher

Preferred Skills:

Heights, confined space, ability to lift 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
