Associate Attorney

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a legal team serving clients in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This role is well suited for a licensed attorney who brings strong litigation skills and can manage workers’ compensation matters with sound judgment. We will also consider someone with personal injury experience, wanting to learn workers' comp. The position offers the opportunity to handle active casework, prepare persuasive legal filings, and support clients through each phase of the legal process.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation and/or personal injury matters from initial case assessment through resolution.

• Prepare motions, briefs, and other legal documents with clear analysis and accurate application of relevant law.

• Conduct discovery activities, including drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing case evidence.

• Manage case strategy and deadlines while maintaining thorough and well-documented files.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a timely and attentive manner.

• Appear at hearings, conferences, mediations, or other legal proceedings as needed.

• Evaluate facts, legal issues, and potential outcomes to support informed recommendations and advocacy.

• Active license to practice law in good standing in South Carolina.

• Experience handling civil litigation matters in a legal environment that requires close attention to detail.

• Working knowledge of workers’ compensation and some personal injury case handling and related procedures.

• Ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal filings with a high level of accuracy.

• Experience managing discovery, including written requests, responses, and document review.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
