Professional Summary
Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager with 3+ years of geotechnical consulting experience to manage projects from initial investigation through completion. This role involves geotechnical analysis, technical reporting, field investigations, client coordination, and project management. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, organized, and ready to take on greater project ownership and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical projects from planning and investigation through completion.
- Prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, technical reports, and engineering recommendations.
- Plan and coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing, and construction-phase services.
- Review boring logs, subsurface data, architectural, structural, civil, and grading plans.
- Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and develop project recommendations.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and reviewing agencies.
- Provide construction-phase consultation and field support.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules, quality, and communication.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience.
- EIT certification required.
- Working toward California PE licensure.
- Experience with geotechnical investigations, engineering analysis, and technical reporting.
- Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and project-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Southern California geotechnical projects strongly preferred.
- Experience with hillside residential projects, slope stability, retaining walls, drilled pier foundations, construction observation, and Southern California geology is a plus.
