JOB DESCRIPTION – VAMCO
Associate Production and Customer Support Engineer
Support the expansion of order and inventory process flow systems. Implement the Inventory Kanban process for key items to support live inventory and PO placement based on demand signals. Perform periodic Raw material and finished goods inventory as directed by the CFO.
Play a key role in approving Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for material purchases; manage the receiving function with proper controls and incoming inspection to ensure accurate inventory. Support all work centers to ensure material requirements are met on time.
Support daily production schedules. Be informed on all impacting variables, material availability, and machine availability. Fully support the Production Scheduling process. Support Management and the Production team to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. Supports the review of schedules, plans, and the instructions on job travelers, work orders, and operation instructions.
Support new customer inquiries with 3D CAD and/or Addictive manufacturing production of sample parts. Support in-house new 3D designs by designing and producing required production support parts.
Help direct Admin and support as needed administrative duties as assigned by the Management Team.

Position: Associate Production and Customer Support Engineer
Flexible position supporting Customers and Production. 4-day workweek with flexible full-time hours (40 hours per week).

Competencies:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and QuickBooks Order process)
Experience with creating and billing UPS, FedEx, & LTL Shipments
Design knowledge of CAD files. (F3D, STEP, STL)
Responsibilities:
Production Process
3D CAD and/or Addictive manufacturing production of sample parts.
Support in-house new 3D designs by designing and producing required production support parts.
Kanban process for key items to support live inventory and PO placement from demand signals. Inventory management - purchasing from customer order signals and requirements
Order management
Perform various QuickBooks manufacturing transactions accurately and on time.
Process incoming sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, receiving, and invoices. Verify received orders against packing slips and orders. Contact the vendor if an issue arises
Develop Bills of Material and inventory plans to support production scheduling.
Fully support the Production Scheduling process. Support Management and the Production team to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. Supports the review of schedules, plans, and the instructions on work orders, and operation instructions
Store and file applicable documents.
Pulling and mailing samples
Operating Manual file – needs to be updated or replaced.
Other support for Operations:
Help Package Finished goods.
Label boxes of finished goods.
Help verify counts of finished products.
Maintains a safe work environment and demonstrates regular job improvement.
And other duties as assigned.
