PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures the incumbent is responsible for the overall accountability of a full service branch. This accountability will include increasing branch market share through leadership and coaching of the branch team; creating and sustaining growth by accumulating strong internal and external business partnerships through community involvement and business development; promoting a superior level of customer relationships; and mentoring the branch staff towards individual and bank goals. Opens and closes the branch on a rotating basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

2. Conducts business development and maximizes operational efficiency to meet branch and bank goals. Participates in community activities to increase the bank’s visibility and to enhance new and existing business relationship opportunities. Takes the initiative to increase relationships by informing customers of new and existing product opportunities. Makes referrals to customer service, wealth management, business development officer and commercial and consumer lending.
3. Participates in developing, implementing and managing sales/strategic plans for the branch to conform to the overall bank image and marketing plan.
4. Motivates, monitors and coaches team members. Reviews performance and promotes development of direct report(s) and ensures timely completion of staff reviews; including disciplinary actions, monthly update forms, yearly evaluations, performance improvement plans, and other types of related documentation.
5. Responsible for the hiring, termination, and salary adjustments for branch personnel with the guidance of HR.
6. Ensures audit completion and overall branch compliance to regulations, procedures and policies. Assures compliance with Federal, State and local laws. Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply to the scope of the position.
7. Maintains security controls and procedures to protect against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure, and makes sure that branch staff is knowledgeable, trained, and adheres to these procedures.
8. Services existing and potential customers who are seeking consumer and equity loans, and small business loans. Maintains skills to perform customer service functions as needed, including opening/closing accounts, and handling more complex customer questions and inquiries. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the bank’s products and services, including electronic services.
9. Prepares annual branch budget and operates within approved guidelines. Achieves or exceeds branch goals for deposits, loans, revenue and expenses.
10.Performs additional duties as requested.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise. Moderate physical effort required; normally standing, walking and sitting in varying degrees with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; lifting up to 40 lbs. on occasion.

DESIRED JOB EXPERIENCE
Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with business development and/or sales helpful. Proven supervisory and/or management skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Sales oriented personality is required, with professional appearance. Must be a strong advocate of relationship selling and quality service. Strong analytical and negotiation skills will be needed in order to resolve difficult customer and staff problems in a courteous and professional manner. Thorough knowledge of operating policies, procedures, and regulations governing the operations of the Branch. Proficient desktop application skills. Solid knowledge in lending procedures and practices, both according to regulation and bank policy and practice. Ability to handle multiple situations and take initiative to prioritize tasks in a changing environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Visual and manual dexterity to operate general office equipment. Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday, if applicable. Travel on occasion to other branches/departments and when making business calls. Ability to obtain registration within the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), if necessary.
