Position Title: Outbound Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Outbound Supervisor to lead the outbound fulfillment operations and ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. This position is responsible for overseeing daily shipping performance, directing warehouse associates, monitoring fulfillment metrics, and keeping operations running efficiently during both normal and peak-volume periods.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in warehouse or distribution operations, experience supervising 50+ associates, and a solid understanding of Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, and pick/pack processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 50+ warehouse and fulfillment associates.
- Oversee daily outbound operations, including picking, packing, order processing, and shipping.
- Monitor OTIF (On Time in Full) performance and ensure customer orders ship accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure e-commerce orders are fulfilled within required timelines.
- Closely monitor TikTok Shop orders and ensure orders are processed and shipped on time.
- Use OMS and WMS systems to monitor order flow, inventory movement, productivity, and fulfillment activity.
- Monitor operational reports and use data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Understand and effectively utilize RF scanners and warehouse technology.
- Work closely with the Outbound Fulfillment Manager to align labor with daily business volumes and operational needs.
- Reallocate labor throughout the operation as needed to effectively manage changing volumes.
- Assist associates with challenges on the warehouse floor and help remove obstacles to productivity.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed.
- Motivate, coach, and encourage team members while maintaining accountability for performance.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency and ensure daily operational goals are met.
- Operate forklift equipment when needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Work extended hours during peak seasons or periods of increased business volume.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution environment.
- Previous supervisory experience managing 50+ associates strongly preferred.
- Distribution and e-commerce fulfillment experience is a major plus.
- Experience working with WMS and OMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of RF scanners, picking, packing, and outbound shipping processes.
- Experience monitoring fulfillment metrics, OTIF, SLAs, and productivity reports.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles preferred.
- Forklift experience and ability to operate equipment as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak periods.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
