We are seeking a Mechanic experienced in maintaining and repairing construction equipment, semi trucks, trailers, and tractors. This role operates in an independent shop, fleet maintenance setting, and through mobile repair service. I can offer to pay for 50% of medical insurance
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues across various heavy vehicles
- Perform repair work and parts replacement on construction equipment and fleet vehicles
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and repair needs
- Operate diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems
- Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year minimum of equipment repair experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Experience with diagnostic tools and safety compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience performing oil changes
