Peerless Technologies is seeking an Inventory Specialist to provide asset management and inventory support for Government-owned equipment and materials. The Inventory Specialist will conduct physical inventories, maintain accurate asset records, update labeling, and support the acquisition, transfer, modification, and disposal of assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inventories of Government-owned assets and reconcile records with ERP data.
- Record inventory results, discrepancies, and location updates using Excel and Government systems.
- Label, inspect, clean, and maintain asset identification markings.
- Travel on and off base to various locations to conduct scheduled inventory activities.
- Identify and report unmarked, missing, damaged, or improperly accounted-for material.
- Use the Government ERP system to maintain asset records and process asset transactions.
- Receive, sort, and label excess equipment.
- Report suspected theft, fraud, misuse, and other discrepancies.
- Provide administrative and analytical support and recommend improvements to inventory and asset management processes.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings and prepare agendas and related documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers, Government customers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to wear safety shoes and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reliable team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
