Experienced Apprentice Electrician

We are seeking an experienced apprentice electrician who is looking to expand their abilities and career by gaining more experience in the industrial wiring field. We would prefer 3+ years of experience and some formal electrical schooling. We provide our employees with some of the best equipment and on the job training available in our industry. We provide power infrastructure installation and upgrades as well as any other electrical needs to some of the largest manufacturing companies in Southeast Michigan and across the nation. Must be able to travel to jobs in and out of state.

Job Description

As an apprentice, your primary role is to provide assistance to our on-site crew leaders as well as to continue your growth in the electrical field. You will need to have a positive attitude, the ability to take direction, and follow reporting structure. Must be a registered apprentice with the state.

Responsibilities:

• Follow crew leader instruction
• Follow site specific safety guidelines and PPE requirements per Crew Leaders instruction
• Learn and master trade tools and equipment
• Clean up, organize, and remove all trash from job site
• Help maintain trucks and tools in clean working order
• Work overtime/weekends if necessary and travel when projects require
• Install or help install electrical components.
• Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power pullers and other equipment.
• Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
• Connect wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
• Operate equipment (only when trained and certified to operate) such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, and fork trucks.
• Secure and lock up equipment after use.

Qualifications:

• At minimum, 2+ years of experience and some formal electrical schooling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve
• Ability to work within a team
• Willingness to travel to out-of-state jobsites
