We’re seeking an experiencedAccountant IIto join a growing finance organization in Waltham, MA. This contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with stronggeneral ledger, month-end close, account reconciliation, and revenue recognitionexperience who enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day accounting activities across multiple legal entities.
- Coordinate themonthly general ledger close, including journal entries, financial statement review, adjusting entries, and account reconciliations.
- Supportrevenue recognition under ASC 606, including complex, multiple-element arrangements.
- Oversee accounting activities performed by an external consulting team.
- Assist withNetSuite integrationrelated to newly acquired businesses, including system and process changes.
- Oversee A/R activities and support collections.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and revenue reports.
- Perform monthly and quarterlySOX control testing.
- Partner with Operations, FP&A, Tax, Corporate Consolidation, and other internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
- Assist with royalty calculations and reporting.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience withU.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
- Experience with revenue recognition inSoftware, SaaS, or Professional Servicesenvironments is highly preferred.
- Proficiency withNetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding ofSOX controlsin a public-company environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- PriorBig 4 accounting experience.
- Experience supporting acquisitions or integrating newly acquired businesses.
- Experience working with globally distributed accounting teams.
