The role

DP Electric is hiring an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead non-industrial electrical construction projects across the Austin area.

In this key field leadership role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating crews, supporting daily operations, and ensuring electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and with excellent workmanship.

You’ll spend your time both leading from the front and working alongside your team, providing direction to electricians and apprentices while partnering with Project Managers, General Foremen, and other trades to keep projects moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and support electrical crews throughout commercial installation projects
• Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and communicate project expectations
• Review blueprints, schematics, and drawings to guide field work
• Ensure installations meet electrical codes, safety requirements, and quality standards
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and workmanship
• Identify challenges on site and provide practical solutions
• Work closely with project teams and other trades to maintain efficiency
• Train, mentor, and support electricians and apprentices
• Manage job-site tools, equipment, and materials
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project records

The person

• High school diploma or GED
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
• 10+ years of electrical construction experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety standards
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and interpret technical documents
• Experience leading, training, and developing field crews
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments

Experience leading medium- or large-scale projects is preferred. Experience in industrial, water, wastewater, or hazardous environments is a plus.
