Heavy Equipment Operator

The City of Presque Isle is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work under the direction of the Public Works Director and/or the Public Works Foreman performing skilled and semi-skilled work operating heavy, moderately heavy and light construction equipment; performing manual and semi-skilled labor in connection with the Public Works Maintenance and construction activities and snow and ice removal operations. Class B CDL without an "E" restriction required.

The position offers a comprehensive wage and benefit package including:

• Starting wage $25.21- $30.70 based on experience
• Employee and family medical health coverage
• Paid vacation, sick, 13.5 holidays, and two personal days per year
  
• Maine Public Employees Retirement System or ICMA 401(a)/457(b)

• Clothing and boot allowance
• Year around four-day work week
