Overview
CTG is seeking to fill an EHS Technician opening for our client in Whitsett, NC.
Location: Whitsett, NC
Duration: 12 months+, with possibility for extension
Duties:
- Perform tasks related to the EHS Program.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections.
- Assist with and conduct site EHS training.
- Recognize hazards and ensure compliance with safety programs and standards.
- Provide hands-on EHS expertise to warehouse and production staff.
- Identify workplace safety hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Maintain and implement site-specific EHS policies.
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.
- Monitor waste and recycling areas for compliance.
- Order and maintain spill supplies; clean up spills as necessary.
- Conduct accident investigations.
- Collaborate with security personnel during emergencies (e.g., tornado, fire, medical).
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERT/Safety Observer/First Response Teams.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NC regulations.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in an EHS role or an associate degree.
- Experience in a production and warehouse environment.
- Emergency response experience preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with health and safety plans and policies.
- Experience with forklifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection.
- Current First-Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain quickly.
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift from 3pm to 11:30 pm
