We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support quality assurance efforts for a custom packaging manufacturer specializing in protective and industrial packaging solutions. This role focuses on inspecting a wide range of packaging productsincluding foam inserts for electronics and high-value hardware, heavy-duty wood crates, export-compliant pallets, custom corrugated packaging and retail displays, sustainable molded fiber packaging, and specialized cold-chain shipping solutionsto verify they meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in maintaining high product quality by performing in-process, first-piece, and final inspections and documenting all findings within the company’s quality system.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a production facility operating on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required, including extended shifts during the week and occasional weekend work. The facility manufactures a wide range of packaging products, including custom foam inserts and protective packaging, wood crates and export-compliant pallets, corrugated boxes and retail display packaging, sustainable molded fiber packaging, and cold-chain and specialty protective shipping solutions. The work is performed primarily on the production floor, where employees spend the majority of the shift on their feet, walking between departments and interacting with various teams. Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. New hires receive hands-on training throughout multiple departments to become familiar with the products, equipment, manufacturing processes, and quality standards used in the facility, within a team-focused environment centered on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
