Job Description
We are looking for an experienced finance leader to support a commercialization-stage climate technology company in Boca Raton, Florida. This Long-term Contract position calls for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can guide day-to-day accounting activities, maintain strong financial controls, and provide leadership across core finance operations. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver timely reporting, support compliance efforts, and strengthen financial decision-making in a manufacturing-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting and finance operations while supervising a small team and ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Lead the monthly close process, prepare financial reports, and review results to provide clear visibility into business performance.
• Oversee accounts payable activity and partner with finance and operations leadership to manage banking transactions and outgoing payments.
• Coordinate tax-related filings and support year-end audit completion by working closely with external auditors and internal teams.
• Contribute financial insight to debt financing initiatives, including the development and review of detailed operating and cash flow models.
• Monitor cash position, capital usage, and short-term liquidity needs to help maintain a disciplined financial structure.
• Partner with the onsite manufacturing team each day to build a strong understanding of production activity, inventory movement, and cost drivers.
• Evaluate inventory accounting, manufacturing costs, and complex product assembly impacts to improve accuracy in costing and reporting.
• Use financial systems and reporting tools to strengthen analysis, streamline workflows, and support management decision-making.• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or controllership leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow oversight, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Strong background working with manufacturing, inventory accounting, and cost structures tied to assembled products.
• Experience supporting audits, tax compliance activities, and banking or treasury-related processes.
• Demonstrated success building financial models and contributing to capital planning or debt financing discussions.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and present meaningful financial insights.
• Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Expensify, Salesforce, or similar business platforms.
• Ability to work onsite in Boca Raton, Florida and collaborate closely with cross-functional operational teams.
