Job Description

This weekend-based role runs Friday through Monday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and focuses on preparing surfaces and parts for the application of protective or decorative coatings. You clean, mask, stage, and package parts in a manufacturing environment to support efficient production and high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces of machines, manufactured products, and work areas for the application of paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, or lacquer.
• Clean parts and work areas to ensure they are free of contaminants before coating or painting.
• Mask parts accurately to protect designated areas during the coating and painting processes.
• Stage parts and materials in an organized manner to support efficient production workflows.
• Package finished or processed parts securely to prevent damage during handling and transport.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks as needed to support daily operations.
• Handle multiple job duties with flexibility, including masking, packaging, and washing parts.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds in a safe and controlled manner.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance to support weekend production schedules.
• Follow all ITAR-related requirements and company procedures when working in the production environment.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met in all production and packaging activities.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience working in a production environment.
• Experience preparing surfaces for paint or other protective or decorative coatings.
• Ability to perform masking of parts for paint or coating applications.
• Ability to perform packaging and packing tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Capability to wash and clean parts to production standards.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Strong attention to detail in all aspects of production and packaging work.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, particularly for weekend shifts.
• Flexibility to perform multiple jobs and adapt to changing production needs.
• Ability to work in compliance with ITAR-related requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in general production or general labor roles.
• Experience working around paint fumes or in environments where coatings are applied.
• Comfort working in an open-air manufacturing facility.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
