Job Title: Electrical Engineer I

Location: Acworth, GA (In-Person / On-site)

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Position Summary

This position supports and leads the development, integration, and maintenance of robust electronic components used in the assembly, testing, and operation of advanced automotive roof system modules. You will play a critical role in bringing next-generation automotive technology to life on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities

System Development: Develop and support LabVIEW-based applications for both production and laboratory environments.

Test Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain automated end-of-line (EOL) test stations for assembly lines, ensuring robust performance and seamless integration with manufacturing systems.

Diagnostics & Validation: Create and maintain diagnostic tools and NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) applications to support product validation and troubleshooting.

Collaboration & Design: Participate in design reviews with equipment suppliers, defining scope of work, technical specifications, and BOMs. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to support DFM and DFA initiatives.

Motor & Controller Testing: Work closely with the broader EE team to implement motor and controller testing requirements.

Root Cause Analysis: Support Manufacturing and Quality teams in resolving plant build issues through swift root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Data & Reporting: Deliver test data, interpret results, and develop reporting tools to drive data-backed decision-making on the assembly line.

Process Improvement: Update and maintain DFMEA/FTA related to test systems. Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives by optimizing test processes.

Global Support: Provide support for automation projects, including remote troubleshooting and occasional international travel. Ensure global consistency in software, hardware, and process standards.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) is preferred, OR a strong blend of education and hands-on experience demonstrating equivalent capabilities.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a technical engineering position within the automotive industry.

Core Competencies & Technical Skills

Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in LabVIEW.

Protocols: Experience with communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and UDS.

Engineering Acumen: Strong requirement engineering, action management, and timeline forecasting skills.

Testing & Debugging: Capable of writing unit/integration tests and utilizing debugging tools.

Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and attention to detail for spotting edge cases in code.
