Mechanical Assembler

The Mechanical Assembler performs mechanical assembly and troubleshooting of industrial pumps and related machinery. This role involves reading blueprints, interpreting specifications, and planning assembly procedures to build high-quality structures and pump systems using a variety of hand and power tools. You will fabricate metal components, install and align moving parts, and ensure completed products operate correctly through testing and inspection.

Assemble pumps and mechanical equipment from blueprints

Install, align, and secure mechanical components

Perform fabrication, drilling, tapping, and basic welding

Use hand tools and measuring instruments

Inspect, test, and troubleshoot assemblies

Maintain a safe, organized work area

2+ years of mechanical assembly experience

Experience building industrial or automotive equipment

Mechanical troubleshooting abilities

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

Proficient with hand tools and measuring tools

Fabrication experience (cutting, drilling, grinding, welding)

Strong attention to detail and quality

Welding and metal cutting experience

Industrial pump or processing equipment experience

Manufacturing or fabrication shop background

Team-oriented with good communication skills

Willingness to work overtime as needed

This role is based in a very clean shop environment within the pumps division of an industrial processing equipment manufacturer that serves pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, and chemical industries. The facility employs approximately 60 people, with a small group of assemblers working closely together. Standard hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, providing a four-day workweek, with overtime available as needed to meet production requirements. Work is hands-on and tool-intensive, using a range of hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment in a well-organized, safety-conscious setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EXTON, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
