Our client is looking for an experienced senior project manager to lead procurement-focused initiatives in Nashville, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract position will serve as a key partner to agency teams by guiding sourcing efforts, coordinating complex solicitation activities, and ensuring alignment with public sector procurement standards. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, organization, and communication skills to manage competing priorities while supporting contracts and grants-related operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement projects, from identifying business needs through contract award and implementation planning.

• Partner with agency divisions to create clear solicitation documents and develop well-defined specifications using research and stakeholder input.

• Act as the primary liaison between the agency and central procurement partners to support bid development and procurement execution.

• Advise internal teams on appropriate procurement approaches, including strategy selection for formal and informal solicitation methods.

• Manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination to keep multiple procurement activities moving forward efficiently.

• Represent the grants and contracts function in discussions with internal leaders, vendors, and other external stakeholders.

• Support evaluation activities by helping organize procurement documentation, review processes, and decision-making workflows.

• Ensure all sourcing and contracting activities follow applicable procurement policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in procurement, business operations, contract management, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated knowledge of public procurement practices, including competitive solicitation methods such as RFP, RFQ, and RFI.

• Ability to draft specifications, solicitation materials, and other procurement-related documentation with accuracy and clarity.

• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

• Experience providing consultation to program teams and stakeholders on procurement strategy and execution.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
