Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The role of an Offline Operator involves supporting production lines by preparing materials and managing the disposal and recycling of scrap. Operators are responsible for building steel reels using bolts, hand, and power tools, and feeding lines with materials. While forklift operation is preferred, it is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Build steel reels for production lines using hand and power tools.
  • Prepare and make reels to feed production lines.
  • Dispose of or recycle scrap materials.
  • Operate grinding machinery and manually cut scrap materials.
  • Participate in reel building training and setup machine operations.
  • Regrind chunks to process extrusion and change machine screens, filters, and temperatures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and being on feet all day.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tape, extrusion machines, grinders, impact guns, and saws.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Machine operator experience is preferred.
  • Cross-training capability.
  • Construction and automotive backgrounds are beneficial.
  • Mechanically inclined.

Work Environment

The facility operates on a 2-2-3 schedule with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. It is a non-climate-controlled environment that emphasizes teamwork and keeping busy. The job requires being active and on your feet throughout the day.

This is a Permanent position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $45760.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

OFF MON/TUE, WORK WED/THUR, OFF FRI/SAT/SUN, REPEAT Only Work 15 days a month!!! Every Other Weekend is a 3-DAY WEEKEND!!! Paid Bi-Weekly Total of 85.75 hours for a pay period (76.75 regular hours & 9 hours of overtime) Shift Differential of $1.00 for night shift. SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00
