Nurse Manager of Labor & Delivery RN

This is a Nurse Manager of Labor & Delivery (RN) opportunity at an 895+ bed tertiary care center in Dallas, TX, offering both a full-service adult hospital and a dedicated pediatric hospital on the same campus.

The role. Reporting within the hospital's women's services leadership structure, the Nurse Manager of Labor & Delivery holds full accountability for departmental operations, fiscal stewardship, and human resource allocation across the L&D unit. The manager identifies cost-effective systems that account for business trends and resource availability, while developing and overseeing plans of care grounded in RN assessment and reassessment. Building and sustaining effective working relationships across patients, physicians, staff, and vendors is a central expectation of this position. The manager is also required to maintain active clinical competency in L&D practice, stepping into a staff nurse role during high-census periods or when staffing is limited.

What we're looking for.

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; advanced degree preferred
• Must be competent in L&D clinical practice
• 2 years of recent (within the last year or two) acute care L&D RN Supervisor experience required; would accept 2 years of recent acute care L&D Charge Nurse experience
• Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license required
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required
• NRP required within 3 months of hire
• Must successfully complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course

Schedule. Day shift, Monday through Friday, with no required weekend or holiday rotation.
