Job Description

The Electrical Control Panel Assembler will assemble and wire electrical control panels by following detailed drawings and schematics. This role involves wiring, testing, and quality checking control panels using hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and established assembly procedures to ensure reliable and accurate electrical performance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control panels using drawings, schematics, hardware, and appropriate tools.
• Wire control panels according to electrical schematics and blueprints, ensuring accurate connections and proper routing.
• Perform testing of control panels to verify functionality and compliance with quality standards.
• Use a multimeter and other measuring equipment to conduct quality checks and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Mount electrical components securely within panels following layout and design specifications.
• Carry out soldering tasks on circuit boards, connections, and other electrical components as required.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, taps, wire strippers, and crimpers safely and effectively during assembly.
• Interpret and follow electrical drawings, blueprints, and panel wiring diagrams with a high level of accuracy.
• Inspect completed panels for workmanship, safety, and adherence to quality control standards.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout the assembly and wiring process to minimize errors and rework.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to clarify requirements, report issues, and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with electrical components, tools, and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Hands-on experience with electrical control panel assembly and wiring.
• Proficiency using multimeters and other electrical measuring equipment for testing and quality checks.
• Skilled in component mounting within control panels and on circuit boards.
• Experience with soldering electrical connections and components.
• Strong capability using hand tools and power tools, including drills, taps, wire strippers, and crimping tools.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring practices, including safe routing and termination of wires.
• Ability to perform detailed quality control checks on assembled panels.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in electrical assembly, circuit board work, or panel building.
• Experience working with control panels, panel building, and panel wiring in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality control processes for electrical products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to complete standard screening processes when transitioning to a permanent role, in line with company policies.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first-shift schedule in a production or assembly environment focused on electrical control panel building and testing. Team members work with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, while following safety procedures and established assembly standards. The environment emphasizes precision, quality, and collaboration, with a structured workday and clear expectations for performance and workmanship.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
