In this important role, you'll assist individuals and families in accessing utility assistance programs, community resources, and support services that help improve their quality of life.

What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:

• Welcome customers and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and connect individuals with appropriate resources.
• Assist customers with applications, eligibility screenings, and program enrollment.
• Gather, verify, and accurately enter customer information into agency databases.
• Educate customers about utility assistance programs and available community services.
• Review and maintain customer records while ensuring confidentiality.
• Process referrals, recertifications, and program documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer support.
• Help individuals navigate services that address essential household needs.

Pay Rate: $18.09

Schedule: 20 hours per week - flexible (5 days x 4 hours or 4 days x 5 hours); start time also flexible within regular office hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of office or administrative experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with data entry, databases, spreadsheets, and general computer applications.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.
