Job Title: Field Service Technician

Pay: up to 40$ based on experience

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various makes of lift trucks, including diesel, electric, and LPG models. You will also handle electrical systems, perform planned maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Combilift and all other makes of lift trucks (diesel, electric, and LPG).
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test various electrical systems.
• Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
• Maintain service van and inventory.
• Complete all necessary paperwork after each job.
• Test mechanical equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Keep shop work area, equipment, and service van clean.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and forklift repair.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5+ years of mechanical experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working on air hoists, manual hoists, and electric hoists.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Must possess own tools; specialized tools will be provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Carol Stream, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
