Hotel Breakfast Cook/Attendant

The Breakfast Cook/Attendant is responsible for preparing high-quality food in accordance with hotel standards, recipes, and guest preferences. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and to the highest quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations as per health and safety regulations.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Handle equipment safely and report any malfunctions or issues.
• Adhere to portion control standards to minimize waste.

• Set up the breakfast buffet according to brand and company standards.

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including wiping down tables, restocking utensils and condiments, and removing trash.

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with any needs or inquiries.

• Prepare and serve coffee, juice, or other beverages as needed.

• Monitor and restock food items throughout breakfast service to ensure an enjoyable experience for guests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a cook/attendant or similar role in a hotel or restaurant.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and multi-task under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 55 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.
• Interaction with chefs, service staff, and suppliers.
• Variable hours depending on business needs.
