Position Summary

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for crimping, cutting, and assembling electrical systems. This role will build, route, install, and assemble electrical and electro-mechanical components using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that wires are built to print
• Crimps and cuts wires
• Splicing, soldering, terminating of single and multicore wire
• Experience with aircraft/military style connectors and harnesses
• Adhere to NEC and IEC standards for proper building/installation of wires
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills & Competencies

· Must be a U.S. citizen

· Ability to read drawings and work instructions

· Ability to use hand and power tools (electrical)

· Certified Soldering Certification a plus

· Electrical Termination Certification (IPC/WHMA-A-620) a plus

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant training, education, and/or experience

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time, and reach with hands and arms
• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus and read very small print
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
