Metal Fabrication Machine Operator
Location: Durham, NC 27517
Pay: $20–$21/hour

We are seeking a Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to support production in a metal fabrication environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating fabrication equipment and can work from drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate metal fabrication equipment such as:
- Set up and operate machines according to job specifications and production requirements
- Load, position, and process metal materials safely and accurately
- Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and work instructions
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and proper dimensions
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Use measuring tools and hand/power tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety and production procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Experience with any or all of the following is a plus: laser tables, press brakes, Voortman, CNC fabrication equipment, or similar machinery
- Ability to read blueprints or shop drawings
- Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, or similar equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work safely around metal, machinery, and material-handling equipment
- Previous fabrication, welding, or machine operation experience is a plus
Pay: $20–$21/hour
