This role is perfect for individuals who are dependable, energetic, and passionate about supporting children's growth and development. Every day brings opportunities to encourage learning, model positive behaviors, and help children build the skills they need for school and life.

As a Classroom Aide, you will work alongside teachers and other Head Start staff to support daily classroom activities and ensure children remain safe, engaged, and cared for throughout the day. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with educational activities and classroom routines
• Supporting child safety at all times, both inside and outside the classroom
• Encouraging positive behavior and social interactions
• Assisting with activities such as handwashing, toothbrushing, toileting, and meal times
• Helping prepare learning materials and classroom resources
• Building positive relationships with children, families, staff, and volunteers
• Participating in meetings, trainings, and educational field trips
• Completing required documentation accurately and on time

Depending on assignment, you may also accompany children on a bus and assist with safety procedures during transportation.

Pay Rate: $15.19 per hour

Note: Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Position follows a 182-day school calendar schedule. (Summers off!)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work effectively with young children
• Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team
• Basic technology skills, including email and online trainings

• Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus

This position is active and involves engaging directly with children throughout the day. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs
• Actively participate in children's indoor and outdoor play
• Respond quickly to ensure child safety
