This position offers hands-on training in the installation of high-performance concrete coating systems used in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, food processing plants, commercial buildings, and industrial environments.

No previous flooring or coatings experience is required. We will provide comprehensive training on equipment operation, surface preparation, coating applications, and industry-leading safety practices.

What You'll Do

As a Traveling General Laborer, you will assist in all phases of industrial flooring and coating installation, including:

Daily Responsibilities

• Prepare concrete surfaces through grinding, cleaning, patching, and repairs
• Assist with installation of epoxy, urethane, and specialty flooring systems
• Mix coating materials according to manufacturer specifications
• Apply coatings using rollers, squeegees, and application equipment
• Operate grinders, mixers, vacuums, and other construction equipment safely
• Monitor finished work and perform touch-ups to ensure quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
• Travel regularly to project sites throughout Minnesota and across the United States
• Load, unload, transport, and handle materials and equipment
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and quality observations immediately

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to travel extensively for project work
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor
• Reliable transportation
• Strong attendance and dependability
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction, manufacturing, industrial, or general labor experience
• Experience operating power tools or construction equipment
• OSHA certification (not required)
• Concrete, coatings, flooring, painting, or industrial maintenance experience

Work Environment

This role is performed at active construction sites and industrial facilities. Employees regularly work with concrete flooring systems, grinders, coating equipment, and industrial tools. Candidates should be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment that includes standing, kneeling, lifting, climbing, and occasional weekend work to meet project schedules.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
