We are working with a leading manufacturer who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. - Position will be promoted to Controller!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain General Ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations and month end close processes.
- Analyze cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard cost development, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the development and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and achievable financial targets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to streamline workflows.
- Assist with the annual audit process.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation: $80k
