Accounting Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, invoices, and receipts.
• Prepare and review invoices and supporting documentation for entry and posting.
• Generate accounts payable and accounts receivable reports for review and analysis.
• Communicate with vendors and customers to reconcile account discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, and ensure payments are current.
• Respond to and route customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist with general accounting, administrative, and cross-training duties as needed.
• Handle financial information accurately and confidentially.

Position Requirements

• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• General ledger experience is beneficial.
• Sage 100 ERP system experience is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude with initiative and a willingness to learn.
