Heavy Equipment Operator

Ecowaste Solutions is a fast-growing company in a stable, essential industry, and our Heavy Equipment Operators are a critical part of what happens on the ground every day. In this role, you'll be dedicated to one of our landfill sites, operating off-road trucks, dozers, and excavators to haul dirt and process trash. This is hands-on, outdoor work in a fast-moving environment where your skills keep the site running safely and efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate off-road trucks, dozers, and excavators to haul dirt and process trash at the landfill.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Perform work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
• Follow all company safety standards, site rules, and applicable regulations.
• Communicate with site supervisors regarding operational needs, equipment concerns, or site conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1-2 years of heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Experience with off-road trucks, dozers, and/or excavators required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Landfill or waste industry experience a plus but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Dedicated landfill site position; outdoor work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
• Exposure to dirt, dust, odors, and noise typical of landfill and heavy equipment operations.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Full time hours, with additional hours as needed.
