Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced surgical team. The OR RN will provide comprehensive perioperative care, collaborate with surgeons and surgical technologists, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare patients before surgery.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and perioperative care.
• Manage IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, providers, surgical technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor patient conditions and accurately document care provided.
• Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent OR RN experience
• Recent scrub and/or circulating experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
