Medical Receptionist

Bay State Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team.Full-time position.Our clinic specializes in treating connective tissue disorders and serves a diverse, complex patient population with a unique blend of neurologic and orthopedic conditions. We take a highly individualized, hands-on approach to care, with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and one-on-one treatment in our four private treatment rooms.

We offer both physical and occupational therapy services, creating a collaborative environment where clinicians can learn from one another and deliver truly comprehensive care. Mentorship is a core part of our culture, with experienced team members providing ongoing guidance and advanced manual therapy education to support our clinicians’ growth. Our small, cozy clinic is home to a close-knit team where everyone is supported, valued, and treated like family!

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities
• Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals
• Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules
• Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
