About the Role
This is an Associate Attorney position on the general liability defense team at a well-established, AV-rated national law firm. You will manage a varied caseload of premises liability, auto accident, and general liability defense matters, working alongside experienced partners in a collegial, mentorship-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Defend premises liability, auto accident, and general liability cases from inception through resolution.
- Manage a caseload of 25 or more active matters simultaneously.
- Draft motions, discovery responses, and pleadings.
- Attend and defend depositions.
- Appear in court for hearings and assist with trial and mediation preparation.
What We're Looking For
- JD from an ABA-approved law school and an active NY bar license in good standing (dual NJ/NY admission is a plus).
- 2 or more years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in general liability, premises liability, or auto/casualty matters.
- Background at a defense firm handling full caseloads rather than motions-only work.
- Demonstrated ability to meet annual billing requirements of approximately 1,950 to 2,100 hours.
- Experience with depositions, court appearances, and discovery drafting.
- Trial or mediation experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with standard legal research and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and LexisNexis.
- Stable, consistent tenure history.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This is a hybrid role based in Miami, Florida.
