Bartender

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic REMIXologists to join our team for our Fri-Sun skate sessions and events! Our environment is unlike any other in the industry. The perfect candidate will be out on the floor interacting with families and guests with table side service. Willingness to learn all aspects of the business is a plus that creates a positive guest experience!

While we are looking for a candidate with bartending experience, table service experience is also helpful. Our guests range from toddlers to adults of all ages, so knowledge of non-alcoholic options is as important as the cocktails we serve.

Quarterly incentives are based on a staff created menu.

Summary of Position

Our REMIX Bartenders set the mood for our guests! Bartenders, or ReMixologists, mix and serve non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales. ReMixologists are also responsible for dining room service, clearing of tables and food running. This person is responsible for keeping their day-to-day operations on pace and to expectations, all while maintaining a positive morale and team environment. Training is a large part of our operations, so patience and building mentorships is pivotal for continued success in this role. For our guests, they also answer questions, react quickly, and maintain a proactive approach to customer service and hospitality.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to:)

• Maintain positive attitude
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Mix traditional and creative cocktail/mocktail beverages
• Serve customers at their table and at bar
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Dry glasses and utensils before putting away
• Polish glasses and bar utensils
• Maintain efficient and bar to high standards of cleanliness
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to switch tasks quickly and effectively
• Greet customers with a smile
• Ability to take direction with little follow up
• Ability to work independently
• Take a leadership role in all aspects of operations
• Answer questions quickly and accurately to our standards
• Take a positive, respectful approach to delegation

• Communicate consistently with store manager and ownership

Cleaning Requirements (same requirements of ALL levels of employees at REMIX)

• Maintain bathrooms
• Keep all bar surfaces free of stickiness and crumbs
• Replace trash barrels
• Restock cleaning supplies
• Mop and sweep large sections
• Lift, move, reposition furniture to ensure cleanliness
• Scrub-clean various surfaces
• Have work be inspected routinely for optimal results
• Clear tables after guests leave

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on feet continuously during shift
• Ability to lift 40 lbs consistently
• Ability to jump, crawl, slide through equipment for safety checks
• Ability to work on hands and knees
• Ability to speak clearly and confidently
• Ability to climb ladders

Qualifications

• Have some experience in the service industry
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check with no concerns
• Reference check(s)
• TEAMS Training (can complete upon hire)
