POSITION SUMMARY:Gold Star Foods is hiring experienced Part-Time CDL Class A Route Delivery Drivers in Pendergrass, GA!
Are you an experiencedCDL A truck driver looking for a local delivery opportunity that allows you to behome daily with weekends off?
We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to deliver food products to K–12 schools throughout our regional service area.

Job Type: Part-Time
Location: 86 Jackson Concourse, Pendergrass, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, based on operational and route needs
Shift: Early morning, with routes beginning as early as 4:00 a.m.
Route Type: Local and regional school foodservice delivery
Home Time: Home Daily
Weekend Availability: No regularly scheduled weekend routes
Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, to deliver food and foodservice products to K–12 schools and designated customer locations.
Complete assignedlocal and regional multi-stop delivery routes accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Load, unload, and deliver products usinglift gates, electric and manual pallet jacks, and two-wheel dollies.
Perform hands-on deliveries, includingtouch freight, at customer locations with and without loading docks.
Conduct thoroughpre-trip and post-trip DOT vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting mechanical or safety concerns.
Verify delivery quantities, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and obtain required customer signatures.
Follow assigned delivery schedules, route instructions, and company procedures while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service.
Maintain compliance withDOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, hours-of-service rules, and company safety policies.
Safely maneuver commercial vehicles in school parking lots, loading areas, and other delivery locations.
Maintain professional, courteous relationships with school personnel, customers, dispatchers, and fellow teammates.
Report vehicle accidents, equipment damage, delivery discrepancies, and safety concerns promptly.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of assigned vehicles and delivery equipment.
Assist with additional transportation and delivery-related responsibilities as assigned.
Days: Monday–Friday, based on assigned part-time routes and business needs
Start Time: Approximately 4:00 a.m.
End Time: Upon completion of assigned delivery routes
Home Daily: No routine overnight routes
Weekends: Off
Part-time hours and scheduled workdays may vary based on route assignments, school calendars, and operational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
CurrentDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Demonstrated experience safely operatingtractor-trailers and Class A commercial vehicles.
Ability to meet company driving standards, including a review of applicable10-year driving and employment history.
Knowledge ofDOT/FMCSA safety regulations, commercial vehicle inspections, and safe driving practices.
Ability to safely perform physical delivery duties, including loading, unloading, moving, and transporting products using delivery equipment.
Ability to work early morning shifts and complete assigned delivery routes.
Strong customer service, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to pass requiredpre-employment drug screening, background checks, and applicable fingerprinting requirements.
Ability to satisfy all applicable DOT and company driver qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in foodservice distribution, beverage delivery, grocery distribution, or multi-stop route delivery.
Experience delivering toschools, institutions, restaurants, or commercial customers.
Experience operating vehicles equipped withlift gates and pallet jacks.
Doubles/Triples (T) endorsement.
TWIC card.
Familiarity with electronic delivery systems, route documentation, and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
