Experienced IDD Professionals Wanted
Nue Beginnings Residence Home is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide overnight support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a residential setting.
This position requires experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors, physical aggression, and total care needs. Candidates must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care and ensuring the safety of the individuals we serve.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of Direct Support Professional experience
- Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
- Experience managing physical aggression and behavioral challenges
- Experience providing total care including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification preferred
- Mindset Training Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and overnight supervision
- Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
- Complete safety checks and required documentation
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Respond appropriately to medical, behavioral, and emergency situations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
