Director of Provider Operations

About the position

Intuitive Health is growing across the Texas market, and we're looking for a Director of Provider Operations to help lead staffing, compensation, and performance for our physician and APP workforce. You'll work in close partnership with the Market President, Chief Medical Officer, and site leadership - a high-visibility role with real influence over how our provider group scales as we expand. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong business, financial and operational acumen.

What You'll Do

• P&L & Budget:Partner with the Market President to track the provider group's budget and financial performance, reporting results to executive leadership.

• Staffing Strategy:Work with site and clinical leadership to keep every location covered, cost-effective, and running smoothly.

• Provider Compensation:Support compensation administration, contracts, and incentive programs alongside HR and Finance.

• Recruiting & Growth:Team up with Talent Acquisition to hire physicians and APPs as new sites come online.

• Retention & Culture:Build succession plans and drive provider engagement in partnership with physician leadership, keeping top talent for the long haul.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of healthcare operations experience in physician/provider services or medical group management (operations experience required).
• Deep experience with the physician/provider workforce, including compensation models, contracts, and productivity-based incentive structures.
• Experience partnering with recruiting/talent acquisition functions.
• Non-clinical background acceptable; a physician credential is not required for this scope.

STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Office-based across multiple market sites, with regular exposure to a clinical/healthcare setting and frequent interaction with physicians, APPs, and cross-functional leadership.
• May require occasional evening or off-hours availability for urgent staffing or coverage issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen; use of hands for typing and standard office equipment.
• Ability to travel by car/air between sites and manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

TRAVEL

Approximately 25% travel is required within the Texas market, with additional travel as needed to ensure the role is fully integrated across all sites. Incumbent will be required to work at any facility within the market and be responsible for own transportation.
