Cycling Instructor

Bring the energy as a part-time Cycling Instructor at the Arthur J Glatfelter YMCA in York (90 North Newberry Street). You’ll deliver safe, effective indoor cycling classes that build cardiovascular endurance and total-body strengthwhile keeping every participant supported and challenged.

Key responsibilities include planning and coaching engaging rides, offering exercise modifications, prioritizing participant safety, setting up/maintaining bikes and studio equipment, tracking attendance, and using scheduling/club management software as needed. Schedule includes some weekday early mornings 5:30–7:00 AM, with occasional evening and weekend substitute classes. Pay: $12–$14/hour.

Required qualifications/skills:
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required)
- ACE or YMCA Group Exercise certification
- Indoor cycling instruction experience and group class programming
- Strong communication, community-building, and safety-first judgment

You cue up the playlist, do a quick bike check, and the room shifts from sleepy to fired-up in minutes. After class, there’s time for quick hellos, a few member questions, and a smooth handoff before the day really starts. Some weeks you’ll jump in to cover an evening or weekend class, keeping the schedule moving and the community connected.
